![]() ![]() ![]() They infiltrate Theramore Isle to confront the sorceress directly. Rexxar and his party set out to interrogate Jaina, but meet with an ambush instead. In spite of Jaina and Thrall’s treaty, Humans have been despoiling Orcish land. ![]() Together, they investigate Durotar’s first potential threat: Human encroachment. Rexxar meets up with Rokhan, a Troll shaman, and Chen Stormstout, a Pandaren brewer. There, he meets Thrall, who sends him on a series of quests to integrate himself into the fledgling community. Upon intercepting a message from a dying Orc messenger, he travels to the newly-founded city of Durotar. Half-Orc, half-Ogre Rexxar is a Beastmaster who has lived in the wilds too long. The story ties up some loose ends from Reign of Chaos, so let’s get knee-deep in SPOILERS. The gameplay isn’t perfect, but it helped establish the quest system that World of Warcraft would later adopt. You’ll gather a small party of heroes to gather items, level up, and defeat a singular villain at the end. Instead of gathering resources and building up armies, the Orc campaign plays like an RPG. It has little to do with the Night Elf, Alliance, and Undead stories, and sports an entirely different gameplay paradigm. ![]() The Orc campaign for The Frozen Throne is listed as a “bonus campaign,” and rightly so.
